Professional Experience
Instructor of Painting, University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP)
February 2010 – Present
Faculty appointment in oil painting at UTEP, guiding students through basic and advanced techniques in color theory, composition, drawing, and brushwork. Provided individualized, one-on-one instruction to cultivate each student’s artistic voice. Over the past 25 years, completed numerous commissioned portraits, blending technical precision with a nuanced sensitivity to each sitter’s character. Commissioned to paint a life-size portrait of U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in 2010.
